Objection:Renal interstitial fibrosis is the common way to end stage renal failure. It is characteristic of superfluous extracellular matrix accumulated in the renal interstitium and proliferation of interstitial fibroblasts. The development of renal interstitial fibrosis involves the following steps:firstly, renal injury and inflammation;secondly, activation of be-fibrosis cytokins;thirdly, formation of renal interstitial fibrosis ;lastly, influence of fibrosis on renal function and constitution.all-trans retinotic acid( atRA ) is a family of Vitamin-A metabolites or analogs, and plays an important role in regulating cell proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis. It is widely used in treating acute leukemia, also it has the therapeutic potential of dermatology and oncology. Recent researches show that atRA effectively limit mesangial cell proliferation and extracellular matrix accumulation in the rat anti-Thy1.1 model, thus these effects led to preservation of renal function and reduction of albuminurin. In PAN nephrosis, atRA can protect the podocytes of basal membrane and have both prophylactic and therapeutic effects on PAN-induced kidney injury.so,we presume atRA is the new method to interfere in renal progressive fibrosis. In order...
