Objective: The dental pulp cell is the main point of the pulp tissue, which plays an important role in the tissue repair and regeneration. The proliferation of pulp cell is favourable to the rehabilitate of dental pulp tissue. So it is more important to culture the dental pulp cells in vitro and then to study its character of proliferation and differentiation for the recovery of injured dental pulp tissue. Traditional Chinese medicine is more and more popular because of its little toxicity and little side-effect. It is being the hotspot in the whole world medical science that searching the new effective medicine from naturally occurring drugs. In this experiment we primary cultured human dental pulp cells by the means of tissue-explant method, observed its bionomics and established satisfactory foundation for the development of the dental pulp tissue engineering. First we prepared the decoction of the mixture of Rhizoma coptidis, Radix scutellariae and Rhizoma drynariae (we named it Shuanghuangbu decoction). Then the human dental pulp cells were cultured with DMEM with Shuanghuangbu decoction, and finally the effect of Shuanghuangbu decoction on the proliferation of human dental pulp cells was observed by...
