Objective: To study the expression of NF-kB in glioma and the relationship between NF-kB and cell cycle. To investigate the function of NF-kB in glioma. To investigate the value of determining NF-kB in clinical use of glioma. Methods: By S-P immunohistochemical staining, the expression of NF-kB was investigated in paraffin-embedded tissues. Samples were obtained from 42 patients who had been diagnosed with primary glioma; The glioma cells ki-67 and the glioma cell proliferation phases were studied by fluorescent taining. Results: In 42 cases of glioma, the positive expression of NF-kB was 21 cases (50%), and there were not positive expression of NF-kB in the normal brain tissue. In 8 cases of glioma, the positive expression of NF-kB was 2 cases (25%); In 15 cases of glioma, the positive expression of NF-kB was 4 cases (26.67%); In 12 cases of glioma, the positive expression of NF-kB was 9 cases (75%); In 7 cases of glioma, the positive expression of NF-kB was 6 cases (85.71%). With the grade of glioma higher, there were more cases which were the positive expression of NF-kB (p<001). In the grade I and II glioma, it was no evidence that there were more cases which were the...
