Objective: Diabetic nephropathy (DN), as a serious chronic microvascular implication of diabetes, has become one of the main etiological factors resulting in end stage of renal failure with the increasing incidence of diebets worldwide. So there is a great need to clarify the pathogenesis as well as to seek the methods of preventing and treating DN for nephrologist nowadays . Recent research indicates that many factors including metabolic abnormality associated with hyperglycemia ,changes of glomerular hemodynamics and kinds of cytokines factors can activate the signal transduction, then the latter take part in the occurrence and progression of DN in diabeic state. Of those mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs) casade are related serine/threonine kinases that have been shown to play a key role in transducting extracellular signals into the inner cellular and inducing responses. In mammalian cells , four subfamilies of MAPKs have been characterized: extracellular signal-regulated kinases (ERKs), c-Jun N-terminal kinases (JNKs), p38-MAPKs and ERK5. MAPK pathways relay, amplify and integrate signals from a...
