Objective:To investigate the association of matrix metallproteinase-2,3,9 concerntration and gene polymorphism to atherosclerotic cerebral infarction.Method: The study enrolled 32 atherosclerotic cerebral infarction patients (collected 24 hours and 3 days after the onset)and 23 healthy controls(collected ) .Serum concentration of MMPs was measured by enzyme linked immunoadsorbent assay (ELISA).MMP-2,3,9 genotype was determined by denaturing high performance liquid chromatography(DHPLC) in 107 patients and 98 healthy controls.Result: (1)Compared with the healthy controls,the concentration of MMP-2 and MMP-3 in 24 hours after the onset were increased,but there was no significant difference between two groups(t=1.316,P>0.05; t=0.390,P>0.05),the concentration of them in 3 days after the onset were higher(t=2.912,P<0.01;t=2.061,P<0.05); The serum level of MMP-9 in the patients was significantly higher either in 24 hours or 3 days after the onset than the healthy controls(t24h=6.754 P24h<0.01, t3d=9.509 P3d<0.01);The serum levels of MMP-2,3,9 were all higher in 3 hours after the onset than in 3 hours after the onset(P<0.05).(2)The distribution of MMP-2,3,9 genotype was in agreement with Hardy-Weinberg...
