Objective To investigate the expression of the chemokine stromal cell - derived factor 12 (CXCL12), the chemokine receptor 4 (CXCR4), the vascular endothelial growth factor - C( VEGF - C), the vascular endothelial growth factor receptor - 3( VEGFR - 3) in cervical carcinoma and lymph node tissues. Methods CXCL12 and CXCR4 gene expression in 30 cases of cervical carcinoma and lymph node tissues, and 10 cases of normal cervical tissues by real time polymerase chain reaction (real time PCR). Immunohistoche-mical techniques were used to detect the expression of VEGF - C and VEGFR - 3 in 40 cases of cervical carcinoma and lymph node tissues. Result 1. The expression of CXCR4 have obviously different in nomal cervical tissues and cervical carcinoma(P<0. 05). The expression of CXCR4 were positively related to the lymph node metastasis and clinical staging in cervical carcinoma (P < 0. 05). The expression of CXCL12 were positively related to the lymph node metastasis in lymph node tissues(P<0.05). Between CXCR4 and CXCL12 expression was found positively correlation( r = - 0.694, P< 0.05). 2. VEGF - C and VEGFR- 3 expression was found significant correlation in cervical carcinoma tissues(P<0.05), The expression of VEGF - C and VEGFR - 3 were positively related to the lymph node metastasis in cervical carcinoma and lymph node tissues(P< 0.05). Conclusion The expression of CXCR4, CXCL12 and VEGF - C, VEGFR - 3 may be related to the oncogenesis and development, and play a important role in lymph node metastasis of cervical carcinoma.
