In the world Rubus.L has been used as herb plants for a long time, It possess the many functions of anti-bacterium and diminishing inflammation, promoting blood circulation and removing stasis, anti-oxidation as well as anti-cancer. In the west of Hunan and Hubei it is common medicine in Miao nationally, used to cure the frequent disease, such as diarrhea, eye baring, alcoholism. Curative effect is specific. However its constituents were still poorly known. To ensure the safety and effectiveness of crud drug, the research is supported by the key project of Hunan Science and Technology Government (03JZY13086), Author investigated systematically the constituents, isolated six unknown compounds from the extract of Rubus corchorifolius L.f and bioassayed the anti-diarrhea constituent. The main results in this paper were as follow.The leaves of Rubus corchorifolius L.f was gathered on the back of hill in Jishou University in April, 2004, dried in the shade and smashed. The leaves of Rubus corchorifolius L.f was extracted with 80% ethanol, the extract was eluted through different solvents, and separated by column chromatography, thin-layer chromatography, crystallization, six unknown compounds were isolated. The extraction and isolation method of effective composition were set up.On the basis of physico-chemical properties and spectra analysis(UV, IR,1H NMR, 13C NMR, DEPT, MS, HMBC). Two unknown compounds were identified as biterpenoid, they are ent-2-carbonyl-16β-hydroxy-kauran-17-β-D-gluco and ent- kauran-3β,16β,17,19-tetrol, were firstly isolated from this plant.The determination method of the total flavonoid content in leaves of Rubus corchorifolius L.f was built up by derivative-synchronization fluorescence. The result shown that content of flavonoids in leaves of Rubus corchorifolius L.f is 1.18 mg/g that supply the theory reference for complex use of leaves of Rubus corchorifolius L.f.Different solvent extracts were tested by the experiment of anti-bacterium and intestines in vitro of rabbit. The results shown that the activity of extract of ethyl acetate was obvious, the active parts were confirmed. The above research can provide reference information for isolating and purifying further active compound.Resource of rubus corchorifolius L.f is rich. Effect of pharmacolog-ical test is evidence. It is been worth studying and exploiting further.
