Objective: Contrast enhanced ultrasonography(CEUS) is a new technology that utilizes ultrasound contrast agent to factitiously increase the acoustic backscatter coefficient of blood with the agents. As a consequence, intravenously injected microbubble agents dramatically enhanced the acoustic echoes from blood. The any encho received from microbubble may be inferred to demonstrate the presence of a vessel. The effective vessel diameter from which an echo can be detected is on the order of a capillary, although a capillary itself cannot be resolved. In combination with the newest contrast-specific imaging method, CEUS offers the possibility of detecting, characterizing, quantifying and differentiating flow and perfusion in normal and /or in pathological tissues. By means of the comparison between conventional ultrasound and enhanced computed tomography (CT)/ magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), This study assess the clinical value of enhanced ultrasonography before and after the interventional treatment of malignant liver tumor, and aims to provide a reliable method for clinic.Materials and Methods: The total number of sampled patients is 48. The collected cases (48) were divided into two parts: the first part is the cases before treatment (32) and the other is post procedure in a month(16). New contrast agent, SonoVue ( make in Bracco), Technos DU8( Esaote company) with Contrast Tuned Imaging (CnTI) technique were adopted.
