| Autism a diverse neuronal development handicap characterized as deficie ncy in social intercourse, talking and behavior. Patients cannot deal with their life independently and cause great damage to family and society. Withthe increasing incidence rate in recent years, studies on autism is carried out continuously but failed in revealing the sickness mechanism. Nowadays the application of event-related potential (ERP) technique helps people in cognition study and clinical diagnosis of brain damage. The mismatch negat ivity (MMN)component is taken widely in clinical application for it reflects specially the brain autonomic processing and record patients' electrical infor mation in unconsciousness status. This study analyzed the autism patients' MMN component induced by different character sounds in classical and optimized MMN procedure, for discussing the patients'cognition characteristic and providing scientific basic evidence for autism diagnose and treatment. On the other hand, using of independent component analysis (ICA) makingthe MMN results more reliable. This study is consisted of two parts:? In classical oddball model, amplitude and frequency of MMN of two groups of subjects induced by sounds with different frequency, intensity and duration are studied for evaluating the patients' brain processing and early acoustical sense(especiall y the acoustical cortex processing) ability. (2) ICA was used to comparedth e amplitude and latency of MMN induced by classical or optimized modelwith controlled condition in order to prove the latter is the better methodto remove the N1 and induce purer MMN. |
