Background and aimSurgical trauma could cause evident stress reaction on body which may result inserious metabolism and entatic state derangement seriously. The adoption of suitable anesthetic technique and drug to inhibit or relieve stress reaction induced from nociceptive stimulus, may be helpful to retain the balances of entatic state and early rehabilitate after operation. So it is the focus of investigation improving anesthetic techniques to modulate surgical stress. Recent investigations have demonstrated that the response to stress is mediated by complete interactions between the nerve, endocrine and immune systems.. Serum PRL,GH,IL- 8,Cor concentrations are the best markers of surgical stress. The purpose of our investigation is to explore the mechanism of stress reaction and to seek an ideal anaesthetic technique to modulate stress effectively through observing the dynamic state of serum PRL,GH,IL- 8,Cor during thoracic region operation , together with the influence of anaesthetic techniques on them.Materials and MethodsThirty patients (male 21 and female 9, aged 58.72±8.21yr, weight 58.95 ± 8.56 kg,ASA I—II, no endocrine disease, and no hormone used), scheduled to undergo radical operations for carcinoma of esophagus, were enrolled in the study. They were randomly divided into three groups, Group A(total intravenous general anesthesia...
