Cardiac troponin (cTn) is a kind of contractive and adjustive protein exists in the thin myocardial fibre. Its cTnI and cTnT will diffuse into venous blood when myocardial-cell injury happened. In 1987, Cummins firstly used cTnI to diagnose acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Along with more and more clinic researches and applications on cTn, it was discovered to have a high specificity, sensitivity and serum extension in the field of early diagnosis of myocardial-cell injury. In addition, cTnI is the only isomer in the cardial muscle; its molecular weight is less than cTnT's, so it will disperse into venous blood earlier than cTnT when myocardial-cell injured; cTnI has connection with the area of myocardial injury; it won't be influenced by the age or sex or the place of myocardial injury; cTnI is a more ideal specificity marker of myocardial-cell injury. It has the trend that cTnI will take the place of...
