The preparation methods of Hydroxyapatite (HA) coating as the bone substitute have been reported more. Based on the researches of our group, the best experiment conditions for preparing HA coating were expected with this work. To enhance the bonding strength between coating and substrate, a biologic consistent material, such as Polyamidoamine (PAMAM) was added proportionally in the solution of Ca(NO3)2 and NH4H2PO4. The PAMAM/HA composition coating have been electrodeposited on the Titanium by continuous potential step method and their surface morphology, crystal structure, bioactivity, and bonding strength have been also investigated by SEM, FTIR, Raman, XRD, Universal Material Mechanical Analyser and other experiment equipments.Firstly, the PAMAM in various quantities was added into the electrolytic solution containing Ca and P ions(Ca/P=1.7), then the HA coatings on titanium substrate were deposited electrochemically. The results of SEM and other measurement showed that the PAMAM has a function to improve the crystal structure, bioactivity of HA coatings and the bonding strength of coatings with Ti substrate. Particularly, addition of m(PAMAM)/m(Ca2+) = 1:50 is the best one. The anodic polarization in SBF solution indicated that the PAMAM/HA coatings have rather better electrochemistry anti-corrosion. The effects of PAMAM generation on the coatings properties were also studied. The results showed that the complete generation PAMAM such as the 1 or 2G was better than 0.5 or 1.5G.Then the medicinal Titanium alloy (Ti6AI4V) was been used as a substrate for electrodeposition of PAMAM/HA coating with same experiment...
