Purpose:â‘ .To investigate the correlation between the concentration of iodinated solution and CT numbers, and analyse the influence on the CT numbers of the iodinated solution at various kilovoltage settings.â‘¡.To assess the feasibility of chest CT with 80kV setting.â‘¢.To investigate the value of contrast enhancement. in chest CT with 80kVp.Materials and Methods:â‘ .Confecting the iodinated solutions of different concentration with the original concentration of the iodine 300 mg I/ ml, and giving them with the different kV scanning. To measure the CT numbers of the iodinated solution, and calculate the SNRs(Signal-to-noise Ratio).â‘¡.30 chinese volunteers. Basing on scanning parameters, we divided the study into three groups: group A, with use of 120kV and 200mAs; group B, with use of 80kV and 200mAs; group C, with use of 80kV and 400mAs. To scan one slice at upside and inferior part of the chest with the three conditions respectively. The SD numbers and the SNRs of the aorta by used to assess the quantitative analysis of CT images quality. Two readers evaluated the CT images quality by using a five-point scale in subjective analysis.â‘¢.31 patients with pulmonary cancer. To scan one or two slices at the biggest level of focus with 120 kV-200mAs and 80 kV -400mAs setting, and then measure the enhancing CT numbers of the aorta and the solid part of focuses, and calculate the SNRs of the aorta.Results:â‘ .With the changeless scanning parameters, the Pearson correlation coefficient between the CT numbers and the concentration of iodinated solutions all are 1 (P<0.05), but the degrees of influences on the CT numbers of the iodinated solutions are not consistently with different kV scanning, the linear regression coefficient...
