Neovascular diseases of eye are one of the major causes of blindness in the world. Because of having no effective treatment, it's causing more and more concerns. Such as age-related macular degeneration, central exudative chorioretinopathy> pathological myopia is characterized by angiogenesis from the choroids while diabetic retinopathy, ischemic retinal-vein occlusion, retinopathy of prematurity and Eales diseases is characterized by angiogenesis from the retina. Numerous clinical and experimental observations have indicated that ischemia or hypoxia triggers eye neovascularization through an excessive production of one or more angiogenic factors.
