Objective to investigate the distribution of Nerve Growth Factor, P75NTR, TrkA in colon ENS of human embryos and relationship between they and the development of colon ENS in human embryos. Methods Using NGF,P75NTR,TrkA,PGP9.5 as first antibodies in immunohistochemistry to show the neurons in colon ENS of stages. Results The development of colon ENS and colon wall has distinct stages. During early stage, from second to Third month, the development of colon wall is poor. Then the reappear thin layers of circular muscle and mucosa. Only few NGF immunoreative nerves can be observed in the place of primary myenteric plexus. At middle stage, from forth to fifth month, the colon wall has differentiated four layers with plentiful of villi. The NGF,TrkA,P75NTR immunoreative nerves increase clearly, which scatter in whole myenteric plexuses and migrate into submucosa and mucosa gradually. As for later stage, from sixth to ninth month, the four layers thickened. In myenteric plexus, nerves becomes the clustering to distribute, and nerves become different size ganglions by degrees. In the network, there appear the tertiary strands. Immunoreactivity of NGF in cytolymph and nerve process, TrkA in cytolymph, cell membrane and caryon, PGP9. 5 in cytolymph gradual to build up; P75NTR immunoreative nerves increase, but the strength of Dyeing have no obvious variety. Conclusion The development of ENS has distinct stages. There are no NGF, TrkA, P75NTR immunoreative nerves in wall In early stage of the...
