OBJECTIVES To detect the level of serum translating growth factor-beta 1 (TGFβ1) of the chronic kidney disease patients and to explore the relationships between serum TGFβ1 and procollagen III, N-terminal Peptide (PIIIP), type IV procoagen (CIV), hya- luronic acid (HA), laminin(LN), left ventricular posterior wall depth (LVPWd), inter- ventricular septum depth (IVSd), left ventricular-jection fraction (LVEF), left ventricular fractional shorting (LVFS), left ventricular mass indexes (Lvmass), cardiac indexes (CI) which reflect renal and cardiac construction and function. To explore the meaning of detecting serum TGFβ1 and the functions of serum TGFβ1 in myofibrosis, remodeling of ventricle and other complicating diseases.METHODS40 CKD patients including 21 male cases and 19 female cases were divided into 5 stages according to K/DOQI .These CKD patients had not accepted any regular treatments (suah as ACEI,ARB, glucocorticoid , hematodialysis and peritoneal dialysis et al) . There were 8 cases in each stage . Serum TGFβ1 was detected by double antibody-sandwich ELISA (DSM-ELISA) method. PIIIP, CIV, HA,LN were detected through immunoenzymatic assay. LVPWd, IVSd, LVEF, LVFS, Lvmass, CI were measured by Hpilips5500 Color Doppler ultrasound diagnosis instrument produced in Holland. Creatinine clearance (Cer) presents glomerlar filtration rate (GFR).STATISTICAL METHODS...
