Objectives:To assess the usefulness of 3D CEMRA in the diagnosis of arterial disease of the neck region by comparison with conventional TOF MRA, PC MRA and gold standard of DSA.Materials and methods:3D CEMRA was performed in 150 cases including 130 patients who were suspected to have arterial diseases in the neck region and 20 volunteers. And among all the 150 cases, TOF MRA were also performed in 93 cases and PC MRA were also performed in 80 cases. The raw data obtained by scanning was reconstructed with 3D MIP technique after processed with subtraction. Anatomically the arteries in the neck region were devided into ten segements (left and right common carotid artery, internal carotid artery, external carotid artery, vertebral artery and subclavian artery). Arterial lesions of different kinds demonstrated by the different methods were counted separately. The results of CE MRA were compared with the results of TOF MRA, PC MRA and the gold standard of DSA to analyse the accuracy of CE MRA in detecting arterial lesions and the difference between CE MRA and TOF MRA and PC MRA in detection rate. All the one 130 patients and 20 volunteers were randomly devided into three groups according to different contrast injection rate (1ml/s,2ml/s and 3ml/s). The images obtained with different contrast injection rate were classified into three...
