Dibutyltin dilaurate (DBTD) , one of the organic tin compounds, is of active character and middle toxicity. It is widely used as PVC plastic stabilizer. Our laboratory had found that after new born Wistar rats were peritoneal injected with DBTD, their testosterone increased on 30th and 90th day and the male rats testis dramatically increased. This suggested that the rats testosterone and sex organs were affected irreversible by DBTD. Leydig cell distributes in the connective tissue of the Seminiferous and its weight is only 2 percent of the whole testis, but it synthesizes 95 percent of the whole testosterone in human body. This experiment detected the transcription level effect of DBTD on the three key enzymes (3β -HSD, P450scc and CYP17) during testosterone synthesis and the effects of DBTD on enzymes which are related to energy supplying to determine the male reproductive toxicity mechanism on molecule biology level. Objective In order to find out the endocrine disruption effects of DBTD and its mechanism, we used RT-PCRn spectrophotometer methods to detect the effects of DBTD during the course of testosterone synthesis in male Wistar rats. Methods DBTD was dissolved in corn oil. The new born male Wistar rats were separated randomly into four groups. There were ten rats in each group. They were subcutaneous injected in different dosage of 0. 01, 0.1, 1mg/kg/day DBTD...
