| Objective:To observe whether the extract of Faeces Bombycis has the toxic effect in the development process by animal experiments and make a discussion about the reproductive toxicity test of traditional Chinese drugs in some degree. Methods:the reproduction toxicity test is divided into three stages, which includes the common toxicity test(â… s tage) sensitive period to teratogenic agent toxicity test (â…¡s tage) and the preinatal period toxicity test(â…¢stage) according to the guideline compiles about the new drugs research before clinic(China). The aim is to observe whether the extract of silkworm excrement has harmful effects both on the mother's genital system,the ability of fecundation and on the filial generation when the germ cells contact the drug .In theâ…¡stage, the test drug is administered by injecting into gaster at the organogenetic period and the aim is to reveal the possibility of fetal toxicity and teratogenecity. In theâ…¢stage, the test drug is administered by injecting into gaster at the perinatal period and breast feeding period. In this stage ,we'll get data about the new drug's effects on the growth and development of the young offspring mice. We emphasize on the test of behavior development according to the possibility of toxic effects on the central nervous system development of filial generation during using ferralium. Results:In theâ… stage, three different dosages(high dosage, middle dosage and low dosage) are administrated by injected into gaster for 2 weeks before mating and lasted for 13 days after pregnancy. It was proved that the mice are in good status before and after pregnancy.
