| Objectives: This study is designed to observe the effects of lithospermum on the development of experimental true precocious puberty of New Zealand rabbits and mice of NIH strain, and the regulation of function of hypothalamus-pituitary-gonad axis, in order to discuss the mechanism of treatment of lithospermum acting on true precocious puberty.Method: Twenty four immature female New Zealand rabbits of three month age were divided into 4 groups: normal group: which received the gavage of CMC-Na; diludin model group: which received the gavage of diludin (15mg/kg) every morning; lithospermum group: which received the gavage of lithospermum extracts(20mg/kg) every afternoon; the intervention group: which received gavage of both diludin and lithospermum extracts in different time in a day.
