To end-stage liver failure led by liver diseases, orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT) is the only effective treatment. Because of the shortage of donor and immune rejection, not only the difficult of choice are arosed, but also the self immune abilities of patients are reduced and econmomic burdons are inceasd. The subject of hepatocyte transplantation (HTx) have been studied nearly 30years. Technology of hepatocyte transplantation has been improved, but there are still plenty of problems. Hepatocyte transplantation is expected to be effective substituting treatment and transition treatment of orthotopic liver transplantation. Hepatocyte transplantation (HTx) technique shows a promising applied foreground gradually. However, there are still many problems requiring to be resolved: lack of Hepatocyte source, the number of transplanted cells, cells proliferation after transplantation; immune rejection, etc. Although great effort has been made on proliferation of transplanted hepatocytes and reduced of immune rejection all over the world, the effect is dissatisfaction. So that clinic application of HTx is influenced. Therefore, a new treatment is urgent to be reseached.
