[Objective]1. Using muti-slice spiral CT to analyze the normal image anatomy of temporal bone, and to evaluate the differences and the advantages of various reconstruction methods in the display of temporal bone.2. Using muti-slice spiral CT to evaluate the diagnosis, typing and surgical guidance of chronic otitis media and mastoiditis.[Materials and Methods]1. Studying objectsNormal group: 60 healthy people (120 ears) were included in our study. All the persons had no history of temporal diseases and clinical syndromes and physical signs, and excluded the illnesses of inner and middle ear after the special examination in the department of otolaryngology, head and neck surgery. There were 31 males and 29 females from 4 to 75 years old and the average age was 37.5 years old.Patient group: 128 cases (107 ears) with chronic otitis media and mastoiditis confirmed by surgical pathology were included. Among them, 59 wre males and 48 females at the age from 8-71 years old, with average age was 32.54 years old. In 128 cases, there were 59 ears on the left, while 48 on the right.2.
