Study On Safflor Yellow Phospholipid Complex Osmotic Pump Controlled-release Capsule

Flos Carthami is the flower of Carthamus tinctorius L. with the functions of promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis, promoting menstruation and relieve pain. Safflor yellow (SY) is the water-soluble active components extracted from Carthamus tinctorius L.. In this paper, SY is the model drug and its complex with phospholipid were prepared. On this basis, s series of experiments have been done, including the preparation conditions and optimization of SY-phospholipid complex, the research on the physio-chemical property and stability, the absorption of SY-phospholipid complex from rat's gastrointestine in situ, the preparation and optimization of the complex osmotic pump capsule, the study on the pharmacodynamics of SY-phospholipid complex.AB-8 macroreticular resins were used in the purification of SY, which made the content of total flavonoids reach to 74.32%. Ultraviolet spectrophotometry method was developed for assaying the content of total flavonoids with SY-A as standard sample.New attempts were made to the research of the reaction conditions of SY-phospholipid complex, and a reasonable criterion of accurate evalution was established, by which such factors as temperature, the concentration of reactants, and the ratio of SY to phospholipid were examined..
