Injectio Folii Isatidis Composita is prepared from Folium Isatidis, Flos Lonicerae, Radix et Rhizoma Rhei, Rhizoma et radix notopterygii and Rhizoma Bistortae. In this thesis, quality control method of Radix et Rhizoma Rhei was developed. High performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) was employed in fingerprint analysis of Injectio Folii Isatidis Composita.Five bioactive constituents namely aloe-emodin, rhein, emodin, chrysophanol, physcion in 19 samples were determined with high performance liquid chromatography. The samples were separated on an ODS column with the mobile phase of methanol-water-acetic acid (90:10:0.4, V:V:V). The flow rate was 0.8 mL·min-1, and the detection was set at 254 nm. All constituents were completely separated in 20 min. The chromatographic peak areas presented a good linearity with the concentration for all constituents. The chemical variables of Radix et Rhizoma Rhei as a whole were obtained by HPLC fingerprint analysis and 40 peaks were detected. The 19 samples were divided into 6...
