Doping analysis is based on the prohibited drug list which is given by International Olympic Committee (IOC). This list is revised every year(some dopings are added in the list and some are deleted from the list). It is an important task to develope sensitive, fast and reliable methods for the analysis of the newly added drugs. In the present study, both GC/MS and LC/MS methods have been developed for the qualitative analysis of eleven β2-agonists which are included in the prohibited list given by IOC in January 2004. Also validated GC/MS and LC/MS methods for determining salbutamol have been developed. Moreover, 4 metabolites of salmeterol in mice urine have been identified by LC/MS/MS and GC/MS. 1. Qualitative analysis of β2-agonists in human urine by GC/MSA GC/MS method has been developed for the qualitative analysis of eleven β2-agonists; in human urine by pre-column derivatization with N-methyl-N-trimethylsilyl-trifluoroacetamide(MSTFA). This method has been successfully applied to the analysis of the urine samples excreted by some healthy subjects over different periods after oral administration of single dose of β2-agonists. For the optimization of derivatization method, effects of the sort and amount of derivatization reagent, derivatization temperature and time on derivatization efficiency were investigated. When 10...
