Microbial transformation is a modifying chemical process of microoganism to the exterior compound, using one enzyme or an enzyme system produced by microbial. Now it has became one of the most effective methods used in medicine production, medicine modifying, and research of medical metabolism in bodies. Andrographolide is one of principal constituents of the famous tradition Chinese herbal medicine Andrographis paniculate (Burm) Nees. The modern pharmacology showed that Andrographolide has many bioactivities, such as anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, anti-platelet aggregation, hepatoprotective and antihuman immunodeficiency virus (HIV) et al. This paper briefly summarized the microbial transformation of some diterpenes and the research process of Andrographolide and its derivatives.In order to obtain new Andrographolid derivatives with higher bioactivity, lower toxin and side effection and detect the new bioactivities and applied areas of Andrographolid and its derived compounds, this paper acetyled andrographolid useing Acetic Anhydride and obtained Acetyl Andrographolid.Then the microbial transformation of andrographolid and acetyl andrographolid were primarily researched. To want to find something valuable in the aspects of agri-antimicrobial reagent and plant growth regulate compounds, the anti-activities of Acetyl Andrographolid and Andrographolid to some bacteria,mildew,yeasts and plant pathogenic and the allelopathy activity to wheat,radish,greengrocery and cucumber were tested comparatively. The relationship between structure and antimicrobial activity of andrographolide was primarily studied .The result showed that the preparation method of Acetyl Andrographolid in this paper had a high producing rate(81.2%). None of the tested strains can transform Andrographolid and Acetyl Andrographolid. Acetyl Andrographolid has more significant anti-activity to tested microbial species than Andrographolide, especially to Bacillus subtilis, Rhigopus nigricans, Sourdough starter B13 and Phytophthora capsici at higher concentration.These two compounds all have different effect tend of"lower concentration to accelerate and higher inhibit"to seeds bourgeon,seedlings root length and stem height of tested plants.The reasons why Andrographolid and Acetyl Andrographolid were not transformed by...
