There is, as yet, no heart valve substitute that can be regarded as ideal. But with the development of researches on natural heart valve, the mechanical heart valve has been improved and applied well in clinic experiments during four major periods of development.With the deeper understanding of the hemodynamics of mechanical heart valve, application of new material, optimization of the structure of the heart valve, improvement the method of the computer simulation and testing, application of the technology of special machining and plenty analysis of clinic statistic, the mechanical heart valve has improved rapidly. This paper based on the configuration of the 4th generation mechanical heart valve discusses ranges from material choosing, optimization of structure parameters, hemodynamics analysis, utmost stress verification, assemble verification, to machining process establishment.This paper focuses on the followed aspects:(1) Optimized design the structure and parameter of the bileaflet mechanical heart valve based on the bileaflet structure which got good result during the clinic experiments and analysis the nature heart valve work principle.(2) Focus on the transvalvular pressure gradient which plays important role on the function of heart valve and using the software COSMOSFloWorks2005 to...
