| BACKGROUND & OBJECTIVE: Survivin is a Mr 16.5 KD antiapoptotic protein that belongs to inhibitor of apoptosis protein family. It is overexpressed among many malignant tumors and embryonic, however, it could not be detectable in most normal adult tissues. This study was designed to explore the anti-tumor effects and mechanisms of recombinant adenovirus encoding survivin encapsulated in cationic liposome.METHODS: We established mice tumor model with CT26 tumor cells. Then 50 mice were randomly divided into five groups, and treated with recombinant adenovirus vaccine encoding survivin encapsulated in cationic liposome (therapy group), recombinant adenovirus vaccine encoding survivin (control group 1), recombinant adenovirus vaccine encoding null encapsulated in cationic liposome(control group 2), liposome (control group 3), saline alone (control group 4), respectively. Survival rate of mice, tumor volume, and side effects of treatments were observed. Tumor tissues were observed by histology. We observed its anti-angiogenesis effects in vivo by... |
