The reconstruction of oralfacialmaxillary bone loss is a clinic difficulty related to many medical subjects and areas. Oralfacialmaxillary bone loss is a very common disease in clinic, which is mainly caused by tumor, trauma or infection. Face has the most importance in human appearance, which has a very significant influence on patients' psychology and life quality. So curing the abnormality is demanding. The present therapeutic methods include bone transplantation and biomaterial inplant, which partly have the positive effect on the appearance repair. But there are a lot of side effects such as the functional deformity of the donor site, the biological complexity, the immune rejection. With the osteogenesis in vitro and in vivo research of the bone tissue engineering deepening, curing the default with tissue engineering origin bones and gene therapy comes out feasible, meanwhile it can conquer the problems mentioned above. Seed cells are the key elements in the bone tissue engineering research. The ideal cell has the osteogenesis activity or can differentiate into osteoblasts.
