Purpose: Closed injury of axillary nerve is common in clinic because of mostly definite external injuries or chronic diseases. Partial cases may restore the function through expectant treatment on the whole, but if the function has not been restored after observation of 3~6 weeks, nerve injury should make operation research as soon as possible in order to avoid mistreating opportunity. Prosthetic effect of orthodox method is not satisfied .In recent years, the adoption of nerve transposition has gained satisfactory therapeutic effect, but it makes certain muscle functional incapacitation. Through the investigation and demonstration of anatomy, we make use of the transposition operation of the branch to long head of triceps branchii to recover the anterior branch of axillary nerve that can restore the function of deltoid muscle and refrain from the deprivation of function to extend elbow.Information and methods: 7 adult human cadavers (14 upper limbs) embalmed by formalin were used and dissect in posterior view that expose triangular muscle, quadrilateral space, axillary nerve, triceps brachii, radial nerve. Draw off the anterior and posterior branch of axillary nerve and the branch to long head of triceps branchii. Observe above-mentioned location, information of branch and adjacent relationship. Measure transversal diameter of the anterior branch from axillary nerve and the branch to long head of triceps branchii in scale micrometer, survey the length that liberate the branch to long head of triceps branchii and carry out data processing. At the same time, different nerve fibers were distinguished under microscope; the number of...
