Malignant tumor is one of the major diseases that threaten human health. It is urgent for people to find and screen more effective anti-tumor medicines. In addition to the broad-spectrum activity against bacteria, fungi, parasites, and viruses, cationic antimicrobial peptides, components of the innate host defenses, also have a fairly anti-tumor activity. The peculiar mechanisms of their anti-tumor and the very low or no toxicity to normal cells have made them on the focus of attention to develop a novel anti-tumor medicine.
