AIM: To evaluate the result of Laparoscopic assisted colectomy in treatment of colon cancer in Macau in terms of surgical safety, oncological clearance, recurrance and survival.METHODS: A retrospective review was performed of all 61 patients with colon cancer treated with laparoscopy or open technic by surgeons in general surgery department CHCSJ, Macau from October 2000 to November 2004.
