Purpose: To report a case with severe eye surface disease caused by chronic graft-versus-host disease (cGVHD), and try to find out the diagnostic criteria, pathogenesis and therapeutic measure of this disease.Thus, we can improve our competent.Clinical Data: A 31-year-old women with history of chronic myeloblastic leukemia, high-dose chemotherapy for eradication of hematopoietic stem cells, subsequent allogenic bone marrow transplantation, and eventually cGVHD was referred for dry eye, photophobia and decreased vision. Ocular examinations revealed severe dry eye that finally led to progressive corneal vascularization and conjunctival infiltration not responding tomedical therapy.Conclusion: In any patient with cGVHD, the physician should pay special attention to early diagnosis and treatment of dry eye before development of corneal neovascularization and conjunctival infiltration. Intimate collaboration of a salted ophthalmologist with the patient's oncologist may be sight saving.
