| Objective: To study the short term clinical effect of complicated retinal detachment(CRD) treated by vitreoretinal surgery. Methods: The cohort consisted of 57 patients treated by vitreoretinal surgery operated on for complicated retinal detachment (CRD). 30 eyes were filled with an internal tamponade using silicone oil, while 27 eyes using perfluoropropane gas(C3F8). Comparing the tamponade effect of this two sunstances in the short term after operation. Results: Replacement of retina were 52 eyes (91.2%) in the short term after operation, 29 eyes using silicone oil, 23 eyes using C3F8. The manifestations of the failure of replacement of retina in the short terra postoperatively were below:(1)inferior retina was flat detached;(2)macular hole did notreplace. The main reasons supported were below:(1)the gas was not in its expanding peak which was 72 hours after operation;(2)filling with silicone oil had finite tamponade effect to inferior retina;(3)the retina hole was not in its curing period in the short term after operation filling with silicone oil or C3F8.The vision above 0.05 were 25 eyes(43.9%). Conclusion: The vitreoretinal surgery is an effective operation for CRD. Observing carefully and maintaining appropriate posture after operation could be helpful for retina replacement and vision. |
