Research On The Problems In The Development Of Pharmaceutical Profession Associations In Our Country

The profession association is the certain product of social division of labor and market economy. With the development of our country's market economy, the macroeconomic management has changed from original macroscopic and microscopic grasped together into the indirect macroscopic management. Many management functions of government in the planned economy system must transfer to intermediary organization. As the organization of profession coordination and management, the profession association is playing more and more important roles.Pharmaceutical association is mostly founded under the government's promotion. This paper takes several pharmaceutical associations such as China Pharmaceutical Industry Association, Beijing Pharmaceutical Profession Association, Shanghai Pharmaceutical Trade Association and Shenzhen Medical Profession Association as research objects. It analyzes above four pharmaceutical associations from five aspects of member composition, organization form, membership dues, government's management and main function, and find out the problems existing in our country's Pharmaceutical Association, including insufficient overall-development, inappropriate government's management system, medicine enterprises' insufficient understanding on it, deficiency of criterion in self-construction of pharmaceutical profession associations. At the same time, this paper analyzes the developed countries' pharmaceutical profession association such as The Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America and The Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association from above five aspects and put forwards the two countries' advantages, in order to provide some strategies taking other countries' experience for reference in view of the problems existing in the development of Chinese pharmaceutical association. The author makes the conclusion that only the joint efforts of government, association and pharmaceutical enterprise, can promote the pharmaceutical associations' consummation and development, and fully exert its important function in the profession surveillance and management.
