【Objective】To investigate between Aortic Dissection and Abdominal Aneurysm on clinics and appearances on 64 Multi-Slices spiral CT.【Materials and Methods】Sixty-four patients with suspected aortic diseases were evaluated in this study with Siemens 64 multi-slices CT scanner. Routine scanning and enhanced scanning were both adopted. And the results of biochemistry analysis of their venous blood were analyzed. We compared the differences between the Aortic Dissection Group and Abdominal Aneurysm Group on the age, gender ratio, the prevalence of hypertension, the calcification of the aortic wall, the concentration of the serum triglyceride, cholesterin, ApoA1, ApoB and C-reactive protein. Meanwhile, the clinical manifestation of the patients and the CT complications of two diseases were analyzed.【Results】The differences of age, gender ratio, the calcification of the aortic wall, the concentration of the serum triglyceride, cholesterin, ApoB and C-reactive protein between the Aortic Dissection Group and Abdominal Aneurysm Group were significant (P<0.05). The differences of the prevalence of hypertension and the concentration of the serum ApoA1 were not significant(P>0.05). The clinical manifestation of the patients and the CT complications of two diseases are distinct.【Conclusion】Abdominal aneurysms often occur on the old male man with severe artherosclerosis. The clinical manifestation of the patients and the CT complications of two diseases are distinct. The extent of artherosclerosis of the aortic wall in abdominal aneurysms patients is greater than that in aortic dissection patients. And the results of the biochemistry analysis proved that the roles of artherosclerosis was more important to the abdominal aneurysm than to the aortic dissection, such as Di-channel Sign, Cobweb Sign, the calcification of intimal flap and Curved atelectasis, are the evidence of aortic dissection.
