ObjectiveTo observe the changes of EEG non-linear dynamics properties of post-stroke depression subjects under eyes closed state.MethodsEEG was recorded in stroke patients with depression and without depression. The EEG was recorded with ZN16E High-frequency Digital EEG Analyzer using electrodes according to the international 10-20 system. A linked earlobe electrode was taken as the reference. Signals were digitalized with a sample rate of 1000Hz, a bandwidth 0.3-100Hz and a 12-bit conversion resolution. Data was stored on the hard disk for further analysis. Correlation dimension (D2), point-wise correlation dimension (PD2), and Approximate Entropy (ApEn) were calculated for all subjects..Results1. D2, PD2, and ApEn are concerned by positions and subjects.2. D2, PD2, and ApEn increased significantly in the post-stroke depression group ofas compared to the no- depression group at eyes closed state.ConclusionsD2, PD2, and ApEn are appropriate for the study of mental functions changes of post-stroke depression. Such method as non-linear analysis and neural network analysis indicate the future direction of EEG analysis.
