Abjective: To establish the rabbit arteriosclerosis mold caused by chronic intermittent hypoxia, and probe into the correlative malgenic mechanism.Setting: Animal lab, Department of Zoopery, Second Xiangya Hospital, Central South University, Changsha, ChinaParticipants: Twenty-four healthy New Zealand rabbits all at the age of four months, eleven doe among them.Methods: Twenty-four New Zealand rabbits were divided randomly into four equal groups, named the control group,the intermittent hypoxia group,the high adipose diet group and the hypoxia & high adipose diet group. To survey every rabbit's accurate quantum of triglyceride,cholesterol,low densith lipoprotein and C reactive protein in the serum at the time of the first week and the sixth week during the trial. And to observe the pathological changes in their aorta at the twenlfth week.Results: 1,Comparison inside each group: In the sixth week of the trial, except the control group,the other three groups each got visible changes in blood adipose compared with that in their first week.2,Comparison within the groups: In the sixth week of the trial, compared with the control group, the blood adipose in the other three groups almost had remarkable difference. 3,we found that the C reactive protein of the intermittent hypoxia group and the hypoxia & high adipose diet group were remarkable higher than that of the control group. 4,Observation in pathology intimates that, except the control group, the aortas of the other groups have varying degree atherosclerosis pathological changes to form. It is the hardest in the hypoxia & high adipose diet group and lightest in the intermittent hypoxia group.Conclusions: 1,Chronic intermittent hypoxia and high adipose diet can be used to cause the rabbit arterosclerosis within ten weeks; 2,Simple chronic intermittent hypoxia may cause Atherosclerosis early pathological changes in rabbits' blood vessels .
