Bile duct disease is very common and frequently occurring in general surgery department, and it's also a kind of difficult surgery. Bile systemic disease usually need to remove and resect the bile duct, prove many kinds of bile intestine anastomosis, and it induce the loss of the function even the construction of the bile duct and Oddi sphincter. Operation is tough and because of the low ability of the bile tissue's recoveration after injury, it's difficult to process. The complications such as leak of bile, stenosis of bile duct, retro infectionor biliary cirrhosis often need a secondary or multiple operations to repair. The patients'economic burden will be increased and the quality of life will be influenced seriously. The pursuing of a kind of artificial bile duct which can replace the construction and function of the bile duct and Oddi sphincter, to solve the difficulty of the repairation and reconstrution of the bile duct is never stopped. Compared with the artificial blood vessel, artificial patch, artificial joint, artificial bone and artificial valve, the research on artificial bile duct is lagged. Recently, the developments of material, biochemistry, stem cell, tissue engineering, nanotechnology and the improvement of manufacture industry, the research of the artificial bile duct is facilitated.[Object] We studied the feasibility of fluoroelastomer-246B as an implant by the test of bile soak, sterilize routine method and planting into the rat's abdominal cavity.[Method]1.Put the 50mm×10mm×0.5mm rectangular fluoroelastomer-246B slice into a beaker filled with fresh bile, preserve in the 37℃thermostat container, test its tensile strength after 30 days, thermal decomposition temperature, glass transition temperature, compare the results with those before soaking, to investigate if the physical-chemical properties of fluoroelastomer-246B will change after soaking in the bile environment for a long time. 2.Make a 50mm×10mm×0.5mm rectangular fluoroelastomer-246B slice, sterilize it by boiling method, formaldehyde vapors fumigating method and formaldehyde fluid soaking method, then test its tensile strength, thermal decomposition temperature, glass transition temperature, compare the data with the figure before, to identify if it can be used for sterilizing. 3. Plant the same size slice of fluoroelastomer-246B, ePTFE, polypropylene, polyethylene into the rat's abdominal cavity, take out the slices after 30days, then make the pathological sections with the surrounding tissues, to observe if allergic response and inflammatory reaction exist.[Results]1.After soaking in the fresh bile for 30 days, the tensile strength, thermal decomposition temperature, glass transition temperature of fluoroelastomer-246B changed slightly, the statistical calculation P>0.05,no significant difference was observed. So we consider there were no obvious changes in the physical-chemical properties after 30 days bile soaking. 2. Fluoroelastomer-246B can antagonize mechanical stress well after bile soaking and sterilizing. 3. Under going sterilization by boiling method, formaldehyde vapors fumigating method and formaldehyde fluid soaking method separately, fluoroelastomer-246B's tensile strength, thermal decomposition temperature, glass transition temperature had no obviously change, P>0.05, there were no significant changes between them.[Conclusion]1. The main physical-chemical properties (tensile strength, thermal decomposition temperature, glass transition temperature) of fluoroelastomer-246B didn't change after soaking for 30days.2. Fluoroelastomer-246B can antagonize the mechanical stress well.3. Fluoroelastomer-246B can be used by sterilizing.4. In the rats vivo, no obviously allergic response of fluoroelastomer-246B was observed, but it needs improved clinic experiments and observations in human body.5. In the rats vivo, no obviously inflammatory reaction of fluoroelastomer-246B was observed, but it needs improved clinic experiments and observations in human body.
