Objective: To investigate both the characteristic of TCM type of syndromes and the relationship between them and the ration of HBV-DNA in patients with hepatitis e antigen (HBeAg)-negative chronic hepatitis B patients by the method of survey.Method: The method of clinical epidemiologic study and lab examination was adopted. Questionary includes sex, age, course of disease, symptom, sign and so on. Use SPSS13.0 for statistic. The compare of rate adopt X~2 test. The compare of average use analysis of variance or non-parametric statistics when the Variance is not equal. The level of test is a=0.05.Results: The distribution of the 158 survey materials, whom with hepatitis e antigen (HBeAg)-negative chronic hepatitis B patients., TCM differentiation of symptoms and sign: Stagnation of the liver Qi and deficiency of the spleen>damp-heat of liver and gall>deficiency of liver-Yin and kidney-Yin>blood stasis vessel obstruction syndrome>deficiency of both the spleen and the kidney. Among all cases, the first, the second and the third groups are 90.5%;the first is 62% and the second was 16.5%, the third was 12%. The positive of HBV-DNA≥10~3 among the five symptoms: blood stasis vessel obstruction syndrome>deficiency of liver-Yin and kidney-Yin>damp-heat of liver and gall>deficiency of both the spleen and the kidney>stagnation of the liver Qi and deficiency of the spleen. The first is 91.7% and the second was 84.2%, the third was 80.8%.Through X~2 test, P<0.05, it means the result is significative. But the positive of HBV-DNA≥10~4 and HBV-DNA≥10~5 among the five symptoms have not difference(P>0.05). Compare the ration of HBV-DNA in the 5 symptoms between each other, damp-heat of liver and gall>deficiency of both the spleen and the kidney , deficiency of liver-Yin and kidney-Yin>stagnation of the liver Qi and deficiency of the spleen, damp-heat of liver and gall>stagnation of the liver Qi and deficiency of the spleen(P<0.05). Others are not different (P>0.05).Conclusions: the TCM type of syndromes of the HBeAg-negative chronic hepatitis B patients have their characteristic. TCM differentiation of symptoms and sign: Stagnation of the liver Qi and deficiency of the spleen>damp-heat of liver and gall>deficiency of liver-Yin and kidney-Yin>blood stasis vessel obstruction syndrome>deficiency of both the spleen and the kidney. There is significant correlation between TCM type of syndromes and the ration of HBV-DNA of HBeAg-negative chronic hepatitis B patients.
