ã€Objective】To investigate the characteristics of daily glucose profiles of the type 2diabetes mellitus (T2DM) subjects with Qi-Yin Deficiency Syndrome andPhlegm-dampness Due to Deficiency of the Spleen Syndrome by continuous glucosemomitoring system (CGMS). To investigate the pathogenesis of T2DM with Qi-YinDeficiency Syndrome and Dampness-Phlegm Stagnating in Spleen Syndrome.ã€Method】18 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus of Qi-Yin Deficiency Syndrome and20 patients with T2DM of Phlegm-dampness Due to Deficiency of the Spleen Syndromewere selected. The index of the blood glucose, lipid metabolism, waist circumference andCGMS data were detected and compaired.1.CGMS data with type 2 diabetes mellitus of Qi-Yin Deficiency Syndrome andPhlegm-dampness Due to Deficiency of the Spleen Syndrome were observed. (includeblood glucose coefficient of fluctuation, continuous high blood glucose time ratio, bloodglucose peak time of post-breakfast, post-lunch and post-supper, fasting blood glucose, blood glucose aider three meals, peak blood glucose value, the lowest blood glucose point,Dawn Phenomenon, the Phenomenon of Somogyi, continuous high glucose condition andblood glucose out of control and so on.).2. The daily glucose profiles were observed to detect the characteristics of three mealsduring 24 hours in the patient with T2DM mellitus in Qi-Yin Deficiency Syndrome andPhlegm-dampness Due to Deficiency of the Spleen Syndrome.3. The index of the Body mass index, HbA1C, fasting serum concentrations ofC-peptide, triglyceride(TG), total cholesterol (TC), high density lipoprotein-cholesterol(HDL-C) and low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) were measured in the patientsof T2DM in Qi-Yin Deficiency Syndrome and Phlegm-dampness Due to Deficiency of theSpleen Syndrome. ã€Results】1. Compared with Qi-Yin Deficiency Syndrome group, ages and systolic pressurein Phlegm-dampness Due to Deficiency of the Spleen Syndrome group decreasedsignificantly (P<0.05).2. Compared with Qi-Yin Deficiency Syndrome group, C-peptide inPhlegm-dampness Due to Deficiency of the Spleen Syndrome group decreasedsignificantly (P<0.05).3. Compared with Qi-Yin Deficiency Syndrome group, subjects ofPhlegm-dampness Due to Deficiency of the Spleen Syndrome deserved morecharacteristics of metabolic syndrome(the waist circumference was over 90 centimetersand the systolic pressure was over 140mmHg).4. Compared with Qi-Yin Deficiency Syndrome group, the lowest blood glucosepoit value in Phlegm-dampness Due to Deficiency of the Spleen Syndrome decreasedgreatly (P<0.05)5. Compared with Phlegm-dampness Due to Deficiency of the Spleen Syndromegroup, patients in Qi-Yin Deficiency Syndrome group had more Dawn Phenomenon(P<0.05).6. Compared with Phlegm-dampness Due to Deficiency of the Spleen Syndromegroup, Qi-Yin Deficiency Syndrome group deserved more characteristics of three mealsduring 24hours (P<0.05).ã€Conclusion】This study suggested that Qi-Yin Deficiency Syndrome had acharacteristics of three meals during 24hours, and that of Phlegm-dampness Due toDeficiency of the Spleen Syndrome disappeared. The nocturnal hypoglycemia in patientsof T2DM with Phlegm-dampness Due to Deficiency of the Spleen Syndrome was morefrequent than Qi-Yin Deficiency Syndrome.
