IntroductionThe apoptosis of human Intervertebral disc cell is the basal of Intervertebral disc cataplsia;The genes Bcl2(?)Fas and Sox9 is related to the apoptosis ; This article detect the expression of genes Bcl2(?)Fas and Sox9 in human cartilage end plate(?)human annular fibrosus(?)human nucleus gelatinosus and discus the different meanings of the expression in different groupsMaterials and MethodsDetecting the expression of genes Bcl2(?)Fas and Sox9 in human cartilage end plate(?)human annular fibrosus and human nucleus gelatinosus by SABC immunohistochemical staining and statisticsing the data by the micrograhy analysis system.Results(?)Genes Bc12 express more protein in normal human cartilage end plate(?)annular fibrosus and nucleus gelatinosus than in abnormal conditions.(P<0.01) ;(?)Genes Fas express less protein in normal human cartilage end plate(?)annular fibrosus and nucleus gelatinosus than in abnormal conditions.(P<0.01) ;(?)Genes Sox9 express more protein in normal human cartilage end plate(?) annular fibrosus and nucleus gelatinosus than in abnormal conditions.(P<0.01) ;(?)In abnormal conditions,genes Bcl2 and Sox9 express less protein in cartilage end plate than in annular fibrosus and nucleus gelatinosus ; genes Fas express more protein in cartilage end plate than in annular fibrosus and nucleus gelatinosus ; (P<0.01) ;(?)There is no statistical difference between the expression of Bcl2(?) Fas and Sox9 in annular fibrosus and nucleus gelatinosus (p>0.05) ConclusionThe cell apoptosis is the main reason of intervertebral disc degeneration and perhaps it starts from cartilage end plate.
