Objective: To investigate the therapeutic effects of the Minimally Invisive Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (MPCNL) in the treatment of kidney nephrolithiasis, comparing with open surgery. Methods: Clinical application of minimally invisive percutaneous nephrolithotomy in 118 cases and open surgery in 48 cases were analyzed. The operation time, eating fluidity food time, cost and hospital stay, the stone clearance rate, complications and the renal function progress were compared. All complications were noted. The data was performed by statistical analysis. Results: In Minimally Invisive Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (MPCNL) and open surgery, the stone clearance rate was 94.92% and 85.42% respectively; the cases which needed intraoperative blood transfusion were 2 and 14 cases ,respectively. Two weeks of renal function recovery of renal dysfunction cases after MPCNL is better than open surgery. There is statistic significance between them. Conclusions: Minimally invisive percutaneous nephrolithotomy is an excellent form of treatment for kidney nephrolithiasis. It is more reliable, highly effective, rapid and safe procedure than open surgery. MPCNL should be the best one for treatment of kidney nephrolithiasis in good conditional hospital.
