【Objective】To discuss the function of H2S/CSE system in patientswith congenital heart disease(CHD) associated with pulmonaryhypertension(PH)【Methods】There were 8 CHD patients without PH and 8 CHDpatients with PH in the study. The plasma concentration of hydrogensulfide(H2S) of each patient were measured. The expression of CSE wereinvestigated by reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)assays in the lung tissue of 8 patients with CHD associated with PH and 8CHD patients without PH.【Results】The plasma level of H2S in the group of CHD associatedwith PH significantly decreased compared with group of CHD withoutPH[(32.03±1.92) umol/L vs (48.32±3.87) umol/L, p<0.01] and a negativecorrelation existed between PAP and H2S concentration (R2=0.9266,P<0.01). RT-PCR semi quantitative assays revealed CSE mRNAexpression was reduced in group of CHD associated with PH(p<0.01).【Conclusion】H2S/CSE system take part in the development of PH...
