The quitting of nursing staff has been a worldwide problem, whichresults in the shortage in nursing manpower and undermines the nursingquality. Many countries have carried out the study of turnover as wellas taken measures for this, but this problem remained unresolved. So thisis a strategical issue in challenge for nursing education.This paper raises the issue from the status of shortage in nursingstaff and the situation of schooling' being out of keeping with socialdemand,based on researching a great quantity literature, we began withthe status investigation of nursing staff' turnover intention, and thenanalyzed the influencing factors, consequently, we raised thecountermeasure on the aspect of nursing educationThis study was a investigating and experimental one, weresearched a large quantity literature,set up the hypothesis, handed outquestionnaire and then used the Statistical Package for Social Science(SPSS) 115. Descriptive analysis, multiple linear stepwise regression andSpearman correlation analysis were performed.Data collection was donefrom January to April 2006.The status of nursing staffs' turnover intention shown, the general score of turnover intention was high, 80.7ï¼…nurses have the turnoverintention from high to higher, among 3 dimensions turnover intentionâ…¢scores highest. That means that there were many outer job opportunityfor nurses. The factors influencing nursing staffs' turnover intention wereorganizational commitment, job satisfaction, educational background,employment relationship, age and annual income.In conclusion, the nursing resource kept instable. The running offof nursing staff should be paid more attention by nursing administer,moreover, nursing education should resume the responsibility ofcontinued education for nursing staff. Only by combining administrationtogether with education, can we lower nursing staffs' turnover, reduce therunning off of nursing staff, transfer the manpower crisis.
