Objectives: To observe the variation of high sensitive C-reactionprotein(hs-CRP),lipid and cardiovascular events in patients with acutecoronary syndrome after treatment with different dose atorvastatin, andevaluate its efficacy. Methods: Seventy-eight patients with acute coronarysyndrome(ACS) were randomly assigned into three groups:Agroup(normal dose group, n=26) was given 20 mg/d atorvastatin at nightin 6 weeks, B group(moderate dose group,n=26) was given 40 mg/datorvastatin at night in 6 weeks, C group(40/20mg group,n=26) was given40 mg/d atorvastatin at the first week, then 20 mg/d from the second tothe sixth week at night.Plasma levels of hs-CRP, lipids were detectedbefore treatment and at the first, sixth week after treatment and allcardiovascular events of patients were recorded in 6 weeks. Results: At 1 week after treatment, the plasma levels of lipid didnot change significantly (P>0.05)in any group;the plasma level of hs-CRPwas reduced markedly in B and C group(P<0.05),but was not reducedmarkedly in A group(P>0.05).At 6 weeks after treatment, compared topretreatment, the plasma levels of total cholesterol(TC), low densitylipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C), triglyceride(TG),hs-CRP were decreasedsignificantly, high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C) was increasedsignificantly(TC,TG, LDL-C and HDL-C P<0.05, hs-CRP P<0.01).Bgroup and C group compared to A group, there were significant differenceon plasma levels of hs-CRP, TC, TG and cardiovascularevents(P<0.05),but there was not significant difference between B groupand C group(P>0.05). Conclusions: Efficacy of treatment with atorvastatin(40/20mg QN)is better than normal dose(20mg QN),and was similar to moderatedose(40mg QN),it is possible to being suitable for antilipemic treatmentof Chinese.
