| Objective: To observe the effect and mechanism of Gold Theragran ethanol extractdecreasing blood glucose by using STZ induced diabetic rats.Methods: To remain ten mate rats of Wistar regard as normal control group (Agroup). the rest rats make diabetic rats model by intraperitioneal injection STZ, afterdetecting FBG and accrediting model doing well. We divided into model controlgroup (B group),positive control group (C group),Gold Theragran extract high dosegroup (D group),middle dose group (E group),low dose group (F group). eachof ten. The drug groups were pretreated intragastrically with 5.0g/kg, 2.5g/kg,1.25g/kg Gold Theragran extract. C group rats were pretreated intragastrically with0.5g/Kg Minidiab. A and B group rats were given onty the same volume distilledwater, everyday one time. Experimental period was five weeks. Before and afterexperiment, rats absolute forbid diet and don't forbid water, to detect each grouplevels of FBG,contents of TC,TG in serum: after five weeks, to detect each groupactivities of SOD, CAT and contents of MDA: to observe pancreas islet B ceil,liver,kidney and contents of microelement in liver and bone.Results: (1)Compared with pre-experiment. Gold Theragran extract significantlydecreased levels of FBG,contents of TC (p＜0.01), compared with B group, D,E groups significantly decreased levels of FBG,contents of TC (P＜0.01) F groupdecreased accordingly (P＜0.05); Compared with per-experiment. Gold Theragranextract significantly decreased contents of TG (P＜0.01). compared with B group,D,E,F groups decreased contents of TG accordingly (P＜0.05); The activities of SOD significantly increased in Serum (P＜0.01); Compared with B group. D,E groupsof activities of CAT significantly increased in Serum (P＜0.01). F group increasedaccordingly (P＜0.05);The contents of MDA significantly decreased in Serum (P＜0.01). (2)The result of morphvology pancrease islet B cell SABC reaction showedthat it could restore the histology structure of damaged pancrease islet B cell; PASreaction of hepatic tissue that it could increase the disposal of glucose; restoring thehistology structure of damaged kidney. (3) Compared with B group, the contents ofCu decreased in D group in liver (P＜0.05); the contents of Ca significantlyincreased in bone (P＜0.01).Conclusion: (1) Gold Theragran extract had manifest decreasing by using STZinduced diabetic rats bloodsugar and bloodfat, and increase eliminating oxygen freeradical to repress lipid peroxidation. (2) Gold Theragran extract can protect thehistology structure of damaged pancreas islet B cells,liver,kidney. (3) GoldTheragran extract can Improve metabolic disturbance of microelement in tissues.
