Object: To investigate distribution of polymorphisms of VKORC1(warfarin receptor gene)and CYP2C9 (wafrain metabolism gene) in Han and Uygur population in Xinjiang, speculate difference in warfarin maintainant dose between Han and Uygur population, provide molecular genetics data for Han and Uygur subjects taking warfarin after heart valve prostheses implantation, establish personalized medicine theory platform for taking warfarin.Methods: The polymorphisms of CYP2C9 and VKORC1 was detected by using PCR-RFLP method in 205 Han and 204 Uygur healthy subjects.Results: Distribution of polymorphisms of VKORC1-1639A/G exited significant difference between Han and Uygur population, P<0.01. AA,AG,GG genotype frequency for Han was 73.66%, 25.85%, 0.49% for separate, as well as 32.84%, 57.84%, 9.32% for Uygur. AA genotype frequency in Han was higher than that in Uygur population, P<0.01. AG,GG genotype frequency in Han was lower than that in Uygur population, P<0.01; Distribution of polymorphisms of CYP2C9 exited significant difference between Han and Uygur population, P<0.01. CYP2C9*1*1, CYP2C9*1*2, CYP2C9*3*3 for Han was 93.48%,0.54%,5.98% for separate, as well as 76.65%, 4.06%, 16.24% for Uygur. CYP2C9*1*1 genotype frequency in Han was higher than that in Uygur population, P<0.01. CYP2C9*1*2, CYP2C9*3*3 genotype frequency in Han was lower than that in Uygur population, P<0.01.Conclusion:Distribution of polymorphisms of VKORC1-1639A/G and CYP2C9 both exited significant difference between Han and Uygur population, for distribution of VKORC1 polymorphisms, more or less 70% of subjects were AA genotype in Han,30%,compared to Uygur. For Distribution of CYP2C9 polymorphisms, above 90% of subjects were CYP2C9*1*1 genotype, only 76.65%, compared to Uygur population, CYP2C9*3*3 genotype frequency was high as 16.24% in Uygur population compared with Han.
