Objective: This paper investigated the changes of cellular immunity and humoral immunity in the way of evaluating the levels of T-lymphocyte,B-lymphocyte Subpopulations, NK cells, IgG, IgA, IgM and C3, C4 in peripheral blood of patients with prolactinoma. Methods: Forty one patients with prolactinoma and twenty healthy individuals as control were selected in this study. The levels of CD3~+T,CD4~+T,CD8~+T lymphocytes, CD3~-CD16+CD56~+NK, CD19~+B lymphocytes were tested with the method of flow cytometry. The contents of IgG,IgM,IgA and C3,C4 were examined by rate nephelometry. Results: The percentage of CD3~+T lymphocytes decreased in patientswith prolactinoma compared to normal controls (P<0.05). The level of CD4~+T lymphocytes in patients with prolactinoma was lower than normal controls significantly (p<0.01). The level of CD8~+T lymphocytes in patients was higher than normal controls(p>0.05). The CD4~+T/CD8~+T ratio was also significantly reduced (p<0.05). There was no difference between the percentage of CD3~-CD16+CD56~+NK cells and CD19~+B cells in patients with prolactinoma and normal controls (P>0.05). No significant difference in the levels of IgG, IgA, IgM and C3,C4 was observed between patients with prolactinoma and the controls (P>0.05).Conclusion: An increase in relative CD3~+T,CD4~+T lymphocytes count and a decrease in the CD4~+T/CD8~+T ratio had been observed in patients with prolactinoma. The patients mainly demonstrated the decrease of T-helper lymphocytes as the sign of cellular immunity function disorders. The level of T-suppressor lymphocytes and NK cells were not aberrant. No significant difference in the levels of IgG,IgA,IgM and C3,C4 was observed between patients with prolactinoma and the controls which indicate that there was only a minor effects to humoral immunity.
