| Objective:to study the bleeding volume of total knee arthroplasty between rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. Methods:From January 2002 to December 2005,according to the selection criteria,61 patients were selected into this study:18 in the rheumatoid arthritis group,43 in the osteoarthritis group. The rheumatoid arthritis group comprised 12 bilateral and 6 half, total 30 joints. The osteoarthritis group comprised 19 bilateral and 24 half, total 62 joints. Results:the average bleeding volume of rheumatoid arthritis group was 334.33±221.87ml.the average bleeding volume of osteoarthritis group was 495.97±242.83 ml.the difference between two groups in bleeding volume was of statistical significance(P<0.05).In the rheumatoid arthritis group, the average range-of-motion of rectification was 73.33±39.22°.in osteoarthritis group, the average of range-of-motion of rectification was 52.26±26.3°.the difference between two groups in range-of-motion of rectification was of statistical significance (P<0.05).Conclusion:This is the first time to study the bleeding volume of total knee arthroplasty between rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. It can provide important information for orthopedics doctor to design blood transfusion program and indicate that bleeding volume of TKA was difference between different knee joint disease. We can not use range-of-motion of rectification to judge bleeding volume of TKA... |
